Amy Harrison, MD

Dr. Amy Harrison, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing in Hemet, California. She graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Pennsylvania) in 1991 and completed her family medicine residency at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University from 1991-1995. Dr. Harrison grew up outside of Boston and completed her undergraduate studies with a BA in Psychology from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.

With over 30 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Harrison is board certified in Family Medicine. She has expertise in treating diabetes, among other conditions, and treats conditions such as sexually transmitted infections, overweight children and teens, obesity, and vitamin D deficiency more often than other providers. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals including Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital, Menifee Global Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center, Hemet Global Medical Center, and University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Harrison provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, focusing on preventive medicine and whole-person care. Family medicine doctors are trained to meet the basic health needs of children and adults, treating common conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and allergies, while also performing physicals, giving vaccines and conducting in-office lab testing. Dr. Harrison's office accepts new patients and she practices in both English and Spanish to serve her diverse patient community.
