Herman Mathias, MD

He received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College Manipal and completed his internship at Warren State Hospital (Transitional Year, 1980-1981) followed by his residency in Internal Medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center (1981-1984). Dr. Mathias is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BSLS).

With over 46 years' total experience in the medical field, Dr. Mathias is well-trained to diagnose and treat the wide range of illnesses and conditions common to seniors. As a geriatrician, he specializes in the unique health needs of the elderly, including chronic diseases, nutritional problems, skin ailments, cognitive loss, memory impairment, adverse effects of medications, immobility and balance issues. He has expertise in treating diabetes, bronchitis, hypertension & high blood pressure, among other conditions.

He speaks Spanish and English, and is currently accepting new patients. He is a member of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, the Riverside County Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.
