This SMS & Email Communications Policy explains how PromiseCare Medical Group (“PromiseCare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) communicates with patients, members, and prospective members via text message (SMS) and email, and describes your rights regarding these communications.
Part 1 — Text Message (SMS) Communications
What Messages We Send
When you opt in to receive text messages from PromiseCare, you may receive the following types of messages:
- Appointment reminders — Reminders about upcoming appointments with PromiseCare-affiliated providers
- Enrollment information — Information about Medicare Advantage enrollment periods, plan options that include PromiseCare’s network, and enrollment deadlines
- Member services updates — Information about your membership, plan changes, and care coordination
- Health tips and education — General wellness tips, seasonal health information, and preventive care reminders
- Event and clinic announcements — Information about upcoming PromiseCare community health clinics and events
- Marketing communications — Information about PromiseCare services and programs that may be of interest to you
How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive text messages from PromiseCare by:
- Checking “Yes” to the text messaging option on our website contact form
- Verbally consenting at a PromiseCare office or enrollment event (with written confirmation provided)
Your consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of receiving care or services from PromiseCare.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your preferences and current enrollment activity. During the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7), you may receive up to 3 messages per week related to enrollment information. During non-enrollment periods, you may receive up to 4 messages per month.
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. PromiseCare is not responsible for any charges applied by your carrier for text messages.
How to Opt Out of Text Messages
You may opt out of PromiseCare text messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any PromiseCare text message
- Contacting us at (951) 390-2840 and requesting to be removed from our text messaging list
- Emailing contact@promisecare.com with your opt-out request
- Submitting an opt-out request through our website at promisecare.com/contact-us/
After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. You will then receive no further marketing or informational text messages from PromiseCare. Note that opting out of marketing texts does not prevent PromiseCare from contacting you by phone regarding urgent clinical or appointment matters.

Supported Carriers
PromiseCare’s text messaging program is available through most major US wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carrier support may vary.
TCPA Compliance Notice
PromiseCare’s text message program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and applicable FCC regulations. We obtain prior express written consent before sending any marketing or promotional text messages. Your consent is specific to PromiseCare Medical Group only — we do not share your consent with or on behalf of any other company or organization without obtaining separate consent from you for each specific sender, in accordance with the FCC’s one-to-one consent rule effective January 27, 2025.
Consent to receive text messages may be recorded and retained as required by law. You may request a record of your consent by contacting us at the information below.
Text Messaging and Protected Health Information
PromiseCare is a HIPAA-covered entity. Standard SMS text messages are not a secure channel for the transmission of protected health information (PHI). Do not send PHI — including symptoms, diagnoses, medications, or medical history — in response to or as part of a text message conversation with PromiseCare. For secure clinical communications, please use the Patient Portal at PATIENT PORTAL LINK or call our offices directly.
Part 2 — Email Communications
Types of Emails We Send
When you subscribe to PromiseCare email communications, you may receive:
- Health newsletters — Weekly or monthly health education content, Medicare tips, fall prevention guidance, healthy recipes, and wellness information
- Medicare guidance emails — Information about Medicare Annual Enrollment, plan changes for the coming year, and related resources
- Appointment and care reminders — Reminders about upcoming appointments or recommended preventive screenings
- Event announcements — Upcoming PromiseCare community clinics and health events
- Member services communications — Information about your membership, network updates, or plan participation changes
- Enrollment information — Information about Medicare Advantage plans that include PromiseCare’s provider network
How to Opt In to Email Communications
You may subscribe to PromiseCare email communications by:
- Completing the newsletter signup form on our website
- Checking “Yes” to email communications on our website contact form
- Subscribing at a PromiseCare office, event, or enrollment interaction
Your consent to receive marketing emails is not required as a condition of receiving care or services from PromiseCare.
How to Opt Out of Email Communications (Unsubscribe)
You may unsubscribe from PromiseCare marketing and newsletter emails at any time by:
- Clicking the Unsubscribe link in the footer of any PromiseCare marketing email
- Emailing contact@promisecare.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line and your email address in the body
- Calling (951) 390-2840 and requesting to be removed from our email list
We will process all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You will not receive further marketing emails from PromiseCare after your request is processed.
Note that opting out of marketing emails does not prevent PromiseCare from sending you transactional emails directly related to your care, account, or a specific request you have made (such as a response to a contact form inquiry).
CAN-SPAM Compliance
PromiseCare’s email communications comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.). Each marketing email we send will:
- Clearly identify PromiseCare Medical Group as the sender
- Include a valid physical postal address: 1565 W. Florida Ave., Hemet, CA 92543
- Use accurate and non-deceptive subject lines and “from” information
- Include a clear and conspicuous opt-out/unsubscribe link
- Honor opt-out requests within 10 business days
- Not transfer your email address to another party for them to send you email after you opt out
Email and Protected Health Information
Standard email is not a secure channel for the transmission of protected health information (PHI). Do not reply to PromiseCare newsletter or marketing emails with PHI — including symptoms, diagnoses, medications, or medical history. For secure clinical communications, use the Patient Portal or contact your provider’s office directly by phone.
